Calorie intake
I co-invented non-invasive calorie-tracking technology using physiological sensors and machine learning. The work brought together sensor and algorithm development, research partnerships, data collection and manufacturing planning.
Getting useful training data required its own product work. I redesigned recruitment, onboarding, meal tracking and feedback, increasing usable ML training data 10× in roughly three months.
Stress and performance
The company evolved into wearable and mobile products for stress and performance tracking. We worked through four product iterations, with discovery involving customers, clinics and health professionals.
Product experiments increased acquisition by 20% and retention by 10%. Workflow redesign and automation across testing, deployment, marketing and support cut development time by 75%.
The work behind the product
I led product development, fundraising, hiring and manufacturing planning, and developed B2B relationships with Manulife, Cambia Health and Weight Watchers. The technical work and the operating work had to move together.
